Ozzie Rodriguez has been performing in film, TV, audio, and on the stage for the past decade. He has won acclaim for his sharp comedic timing and for his incredible depth in the dramatic arts.
Ozzie has impressed audiences by making us laugh with films, such as Love ThyNeighbor, The F Word, and the self-written/produced, Elevator. He has also made us think with his dramatic performances in celebrated independent films like Ash,The Last Chicana, My Life: Untitled, and Jarring.
Not a stranger to the small screen, Ozzie has worked on several television programs, such as America's Most Wanted, Spike TV's 1,000 Ways to Die, and Operation Repo, including the TV pilots Green Clean, Eco Clean and Northside. Stretching further into the web, he has been recognized for his supporting roles in web-tv programs like Calling Kate, Mouth 2 Mouth, and the multiple award-winning Better.
Ozzie can also be seen as a principal in many national commercials from clients, such as Dr. Pepper, AT&T, MTV Tres, Netflix, Univision, Comcast, Coors Light,Reactine, and Belmont Stakes. Also working as a voice-over artist, he has worked on national spots for Cadbury Schweppe's, including work as an audiobook narrator for several books in English and Spanish with Random House.
With a degree in Theatre and extensive training with incredible instructors, like Kimberly Jentzen, Carolyne Barry, Donovan Scott, and Ray Forchion, Ozzie uses his skills to continue to perform on the stage, a passion of his since his first performance at the age of four. He has played supporting roles in many well-known plays, such as The Country Wife, James & the Giant Peach, and The Threepenny Opera, a performance which garnered him an Irene Ryan Scholar nomination. He continues theatrically as a company member of The Krane, Inc, performing annually in both Los Angeles and Miami, in positively-reviewed shows like Parked, Cloudcuckooland, and the self-written, Sexamination, part of a collection of original works for the 9/11 anniversary show, Who Could Have Predicted?.
Today, Ozzie pushes onward with performances in film, television, and stage, while continuing to write original screenplays and stage productions with the goal of starting his very own prominent film production company.
